Annie was a rescue cat who came to us as a four month old kitten, filthy dirty and stinky. First was a trip to the vet for a checkup and shots and next was a much-needed bath. She took it all with total calm and acceptance and fit herself right into the family as if she knew she belonged with us.
She was a beautiful long haired cat who sometimes resembled a Yak with her long coat hanging down her sides. Although she was on the small side, I'm sure she had some Maine Coon ancestors in her background. She looked like a miniature Maine Coon, and when she was scared or angry she would let out a growl that was worthy of a Bobcat from deep within her tiny body.
We enjoyed her lively personality and loving ways for eight short years before she succumbed to a chronic condition we couldn't control. I still miss her all these years later, my little "Annie Fannie Foo".
